How Can You Place A
Value On Your Longaberger® Baskets?
Here are some suggestions:
-
You can contact your local Longaberger®
consultant to ask what she/he would value your basket @. They will have the
benefit of looking at your basket in person so that condition can be
verified by someone with an objective position.
-
The second best way to value your basket
is to find the same basket on a site like ours and see what they are asking
for this item. Take at least 10 ads and average them together to get the
current value of your basket. Be sure to use listings on sites that are
"busy" high traffic site like ours. If you find values on slow
traffic site it could be lower than actual value because the owner has
reduced it trying to sell it on a less effective site.
-
You can value your basket based on the
current basket listed on our site like yours and maybe stay current or just
under their price. Not a very good way to do this as they may have a very
poor idea on the value of their item and you will be following suite.
-
Find a friend that has a current Bentley
Guide to help with the valuing of your item.
To date it has been our policy to help value
baskets either to place as ads or just as a friendly gesture. We are today discontinuing
this policy for several reasons, but the two main reasons are time and liability.
We have been overloaded with requests to value baskets in the past few months.
We have been advised that there is also a certain amount of negative liability
associated with this practice.
We are truly sorry that we have to take this
position but we hope that you will use the guide above to replace our past
practices. Any thoughts on how we can improve this section would be greatly
appreciated.
